| Description | Take that, Starbucks. The folks by the beach in SB really know how to put together a blend. This isn't just three different types of bean blended raw -- they take the time to roast each one individually to bring out its best characteristics, then blend the roasted beans together to create a wonderful finished cup of coffee. You can clearly see the three different levels of roasting in the photo above. Almost like the expert wine makers in the Santa Ynez Valley just a few miles north. We picked up a pound of the Montecito Blend on a recent trip to Santa Barbara (at their main store just off State Street where they do the roasting) and were amazed at how good this one was. Unbelievably well balanced, just enough acidity to wake you up in the morning without any harshness. If you can't make it to Santa Barbara, they also offer it on their online store and via mail order. Definitely worth trying in your office. |
